Tropical Moscato Sangria is filled with fresh fruit as well as fruit juices and it really takes you away to a tropical beach somewhere. It’s the vacation vibes complement to my favorite “summer all the things” Strawberry Lemon Sangria.Tropical Moscato Sangria has fresh pineapple, mango, strawberry, and kiwi! I use Moscato wine because it’s a dessert wine, which means is a sweet wine. There’s no way you can go wrong there! My husband isn’t a fan of mango but he loved this drink. I love to serve it when I entertain because most everyone likes it and you can make it the day before. If you’ve been following here at Real Housemoms you know that I LOVE anything make ahead for parties and I love Moscato wine. This tropical Moscato white sangria is no exception! What Is Sangria?Sangria is a fruity alcoholic drink typically made with red wine, brandy, fruit, and other juices. It’s a drink that originated in Spain and has since made its way to the U.S where we have adapted it and now have a variety of sangria made with any type of wine and juice combination you can think of. How To Make Tropical Moscato SangriaWhat I love about making sangria is that it’s one of those recipes where once you have everything gathered up, you just throw it all in and you’re good to go.It really doesn’t take much skill or time at all to make this one, so whether you need a no-fuss drink to make on short notice, or you just really need a good summer sangria in your life, this recipe is for you. Here’s all you need to make the recipe.Moscato white wine. You could substitute a sparkling Moscato or pink Moscato too! I wouldn’t use a red Moscato because I like the light-bodied flavor you get with the others for this recipe.Pineapple NectarPeach Mango JuiceMangoStrawberriesPineappleKiwiCombine all the fruit, a bottle of wine, and juices in a large pitcher and allow to sit in the fridge overnight or at least 8 hours. You’ll notice that there is no simple syrup in this sangria recipe. The Moscato wine has enough residual sugar along with the fruit juice and nectar you don’t need anything to sweeten it up!You may want to grab some extra fruit and freeze it overnight while the sangria mixes. When you’re ready to serve up some delicious Tropical Moscato Sangria pour it over the frozen fruit. Serving over frozen fruit will help to keep your sangria cold on a hot day without diluting it with ice and looks so amazing! Plus, who doesn’t love a snack soaked with wine! What Other Mix-Ins Go With Moscato Sangria? There are so many amazing fruits that you could mix into this Moscato sangria recipe. I personally love the combo of fruits in this tropical version, but if you want to mix things up a bit, here are a few other fruit flavors I think would taste great!Triple Berry: Mix in strawberries, raspberries, and blueberriesCran-Apple: Cranberries and applesCitrus: oranges, lemon, and limeSweet and Tart: Watermelon-grapefruitMake It The Summer Of Tropical Drinks Tools you’ll need to make Moscato SangriaGlass Pitcher: For this recipe, any serving pitcher will work, but I love to use a clear glass pitcher to really show off the color and the tropical fruit floating around. A drink this pretty shouldn’t be hidden right?Chopping Knife: To prep the fruit, you’ll need to do a lot of chopping and slicing meaning you need to have a good knife on hand, especially since on the fruits is a pineapple. Not just any dull knife is going to cut that one. I love this large knife that’s good quality and perfect for chopping almost anything.Cocktail Stirring Spoon: I always thought a spoon was just a spoon, you didn’t need some fancy device to stir cocktails, that’s what wooden spoons were for. We’ll man was I wrong. A long metal cocktail spoon is amazing, especially for drinks like sangria that are full of fruit. The spoon really helps you stir and easily mix in all the fruit.*This post originally posted on 04/01/2014Tropical Moscato SangriaTropical Moscato Sangria is so easy to make and a real crowd-pleaser.
